Well, it looks like I got my answer to the question I asked.... it was not the one I wanted... but I guess in some ways the one I needed.
Someone really cool once said to me:
"Don't forget, it always gets darkest right before it gets pitch black"
He was right.... I think its pitch black now..... now what?
